Naqshabandi Prayer

O God,
I call upon thee by thy great truth,
by the truth of the light
of thy gracious countenance,
the truth of thy mighty throne,
by that greatness and majesty,
beauty and splendour,
power and authority of thine
that uphold thy throne,
and by the reality of thy Names,
hidden and concealed,
which none of thy creatures has pondered.

O God,
I call upon thee by the Name
that thou hast set upon the night that it became dark,
and upon the day that it became light,
upon the heavens that they spread forth,
and upon the earth that it came to rest,
upon the mountains that they stood,
and upon the seas and valleys that they flow,
upon the fountains that they rise
and the clouds that they give rain.
